There are a number of subtle ways and a few that are quite active, consider these: Vote if that is an option, celebrate your day of national independence or founding, fly your nation's flag, involve yourself in the politics of your community, pay your taxes, obey the laws of your nation, protect your community or nation through service, be a contributing part of your community, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country, and Vote if its allowed, complain if it isn't allowed, and rebel if it isn't allowed.
Loyalty to this nation is no different than loyalty to a spouse. It is a manner in which one shows gratitude and respect for what they have. This nation while not perfect, presents daily opportunities for those who wish to suceed and rise above where they came from. To whom much is given, much is expected. When this nation realizes that that our problems will not be solved by the elected officials, but rather by our own initative, is is then that they will realize this is our country not the politicians and that our loyalty should lie with God & our fellow man. Respectfully Jeffery H. Hankins
