There are no mammals entirely missing their top teeth. Mammals such as ruminants are missing the upper front teeth. These animals include cattle, bison, buffaloes, giraffes, deer, pronghorns, antelopes, sheep, and goats. Camels and llamas are also considered ruminants, but they are not missing their upper front teeth. Some mammals, such as monotremes, are missing teeth altogether.

This is a difficult question to answer, and it depends of what you consider a «mouth».

I will do my best to make reference to some MULTICELLULAR animals only (and will also avoid fungi, which are neither animal nor vegetal life forms).

If you are asking for animals without JAWS, there are plenty of jawless animals, past and present species.

From the late Pre-Cambrian eon we have fossil register of the strange - and still poorly know - Ediacaran biota, which could have an orifice for feeding, or not.

The Cambrian period had (among many other species) the amazing and almost alien-form Anomalocaris, which had underbelly mouthparts that may recall the F-diafragm of a photo camera lens, and was also the apex predator of the Cambrian seas.

Up to the present days, the lamprey, p.e., is a jawless «living fossil», and a delicacy in portuguese cuisine!

However, there seems to have been some strange precambrian animals, like the Dickinsoniafrom the Vendian period, that did have a "digestive-distributive" system, but apparently no mouth at all. Ingestion of food seems to have been made through direct absorption from the skin (osmotrophy).

Today, to the best of my knowledge, the only really mouthless animals belong to the genus Cryptocaryon.

Do braces on the bottom teeth work without putting braces on the upper ones too?

There are very few cases where the Orthodontist would only put braces on the bottom teeth and not both. Most of the time they require the patient to wear them on the top and the bottom because it is better for alignment versus only moving the teeth on the bottom. However, if you have the right alignment without braces on the top, then the Orthodontist will only recommend braces for the bottom teeth.
