What's a bike with only one wheel called
Kinda-sorta. There is a one wheeled concept bike, but I don't think it's gone into production. Braking is always an issue.
The four-letter word for a two-wheeled vehicle used for carrying things is "bike." If you add the letter "r," it becomes "brike," which is not a standard word. However, if you consider "bike" and add "s," it becomes "bikes," referring to multiple two-wheeled vehicles.
A recumbent bike is a two-wheeled bicycle where the rider sits in a reclined position, while a trike is a three-wheeled bicycle with a more stable base. The trike would be more suitable for someone looking for a comfortable and stable riding experience due to its extra wheel providing more balance and stability compared to a recumbent bike.
I assume oe should be one? In which case, a one wheeled vehicle is a unicycle - which is a cycle that only has one wheel.
You should never buy any vehicle - two or four wheeled - without seeing it first and checking it over. If the bike is too far away for you to go and view, find one closer to home that you can inspect before you bid.

If the scooter has a motor the bike wins hands down. If by scooter you mean one of those two-wheeled thingys which you stand on and kick yourself along, then it's all down to how hard you're trying rather than the type of equipment you're using.
