This means a guinea pig is experiencing pleasure, enjoyment, or excitement. You will hear this noise when you pet your guinea pig or feeding it a treat. If you hear this noise suddenly when you are not petting your guinea pig it is afraid or it feels threatened. They purr if they hear a loud noise: a telephone ring or a knock on the door.
Um...you just call it purring........... ya
the guinea pig whistles through its teeth
If by chills you mean it vibrates when you pet it that's a good thing it's like purring
If by "flutter" you mean they make a kind of purring sound, they are happy. My guinea pig purrs all of the time...when he sees me coming, when I pet him, when I give him a treat, and even when I talk to him. He'll start doing the "piggy dance" and swaying from side-to-side, all while purring to my hearts' content. Guinea pigs have many ways of showing that they are happy and content, purring or fluttering is just one of them.
its normal
They could be sniffing in the air to make a noise
This can mean that the guinea pig was frightened from something loud, like a dog bark or telephone ring.
it mean that he or she is happy with its owner... (different person than from up there) it could also mean the guinea pig is afraid because my guinea pig does that when he hears a high pitched noise like when i play the harmonica
When it sounds like purring it is usually a dominance thing, but you may want to check the gender of your pig.it could be this but it could also mean that they are just interacting with each other
i believe it does that when its hungry or when it wants you around it so its secure because whenever my guinea oig does that i either feed it or cuddle it
It means to make a noise that a Guinea pig makes. Or even more, the noise that a pig pig makes.
Guinea and the French equivalent Guinée come from Berber language. It meant "land of the blacks".
The animal is content and happy
