Snow is made by rain in clouds falling and freezing in the air into little flakes and this is called snow. But it has to be about 32 degrees outside for snow to form. you can also make your own snow by boiling a glass of water in the microwave and throwing it up outside, but it has to be 10 F or lower outside for it to work.
We took this trip to garden grove.... smelled like Lou Dog inside the van..... oh yeah.
it drops down from clouds then it gets cold then it turns into snow. It freezes to form tiny ice crystals, which are snowflakes, each one is individual.
Frozen rain is called sleet.

Snow falling from the sky is called snow. THe act of snow falling is called snowing.
Water falling from clouds is called precipitation, or more commonly, rain (or snow, if the water is frozen).
Pieces of ice falling from clouds is called snow or hail.
If water falls from the cloud in the form of liquid, it is called rain. If it falls in the form of snow, it is called snow fall. At times rounded ice blocks fall from clouds then it is called hailstorm.
storm in which there is considerable falling and blowing snow

nimbus really means that a cloud that already has rain or snow falling out of it.
This is called precipitation. It can be rain or snow.
a nimbus cloud that produces precipitation. usually the precipitation reaches the ground as rain, hail or snow, however, that is not requirement, falling precipitation may evaporate as virga.

Snow is formed when water freezes not an exact answer. the correct theory behind snow formation is given below. assume that at some instant supercooled liquid droplets present in the cloud. when some impurities ,called nucleus, contacts with this supercooled liquid droplet it suddenly FREEZES forming ice particle. after that the water vapor present in the cloud DESUBLIMES over this ice particle thereby incresing its size called SNOW. several snow particles can combine together to form SNOW FLAKES.
Usually the symbol they use on a weather map for precipitation is a cloud with rain or snow droplets falling from it.

All snow begins as snow through what is called the Bergeron process. Water droplets within a cloud get drawn to the tiny ice crystals in the cloud due to their lower vapor pressure. In doing so, they diffuse onto the ice crystals, causing them to grow. When they become large enough, they fall out of the cloud as snowflakes.
Snow Falling on Cedars was created in 1995.
