Distillation
Distillation is a widely used method for separating oil from water To separate a mixture of liquids, the liquid can be heated to force components, which have different boiling points, into the gas phase. The gas is then condensed back into liquid form and collected. Repeating the process on the collected liquid to improve the purity of the product is called double distillation. Although the term is most commonly applied to liquids, the reverse process can be used to separate gases by liquefying components using changes in temperature and/or pressure.
Distillation is used for many commercial processes, such as production of gasoline, distilled water, xylene, alcohol, paraffin, kerosene, and many other liquids. Types of distillation include simple distillation (described here), fractional distillation (different volatile 'fractions' are collected as they are produced), and destructive distillation (usually, a material is heated so that it decomposes into compounds for collection).
They separate by themselves as oil is less dense than water. Simply out to the two substances together and oil will float on top.
A centrifuge can be used to speed the process.
The most simple process is the natural decantation.

Most of the components of petroleum are separated by Fractional distillation.
it is u add oil
- water has a higher density and is under oil- you need oil not water
Urinate in the sea to create a barrier between the oil and sea water, thus separating the two.
A separating funnel is a piece of equipment that is used in laboratories to separate two liquids, such as oil and water. It is mostly made of glass.
The simplest method is decantation.

Separating oil from water is very easy, but extremely dangerous! What you must do is set the oil on fire. Either that, or place the oil at a very high temperature so that the water boils out of it. The first method removes the oil. The second method removes the water.
The best method is fractional distillation.

No, it is a physical process.

Gasoline is made from oil by fractional distillation of petroleum, enhanced with a variety of additives.
