The first thing you always want to check the ground wires. This is usually the source of all of the problems. If that is fine the next thing to do would be to check all of the electical wire involved to make sure you are getting power to the windows.
Answeropen drivers door, there is a rubber boot that goes around wires coming from inside car to the door. look for a broken wire (it's the ground wire) this has happen on more than one grand Cherokee and I have fix my own twice nowCheck the fuse

The two first things to check are the fuse and the blinker capacitor. Both can be replaced very inexpensively.

I know the Cherokee does. If the Grand Cherokee does, check the diagrahm on the fuse panel cover. or owners manual.
Check for a blown fuse in power distribution block under the hood
Check the fluid.
Check the battery.
Check for a broken wire in the harness going to the drivers door.
