If after CPR and defibrillation, and there is a pulse, the airway will need to remain open and the patient monitored for signs of life until the ambulance arrives.
If the victim does not respond, continue CPR. If the victim does respond, keep them in the laying position and keep them calm until the ambulance arrives.
If the AED is done shocking, check the pulse. If there is no pulse, resume CPR.
