Well you need to see your professional body piercer and get a Bioplast Labret stud in the piercing asap. The Bioplast Labret stud is biocompatible plastic with a larger disc designed to prevent over growth.
If the piercing is over a year old you can remove the Monroe piercing for several hours without fear of the piercing healing closed. Prior to a year you are taking a gamble on how your body will respond to the jewellery being out of the piercing.
all you need is a clear or flesh colored retainer, if you put make up over the retainer, that should be able to hide it
Generally over the age of 18 in most areas, this can vary from State to State and Province to Province. It's spelled "piercing". you can get a monroe ring at the age u want but looking at parents i will say at the age 14 or 15.
Ouch! Go back to your piercer asap. They will do something about it.
Yes but I suggest you get it done by a professional body piercer, they will be able to tell you if it's possible for your situation.
No. Go talk to your doctor if you want the piercing to close up that badly. Over time the piercing will shrink and will become unnoticeable
The skin shouldn't heal over the back of the jewelry. Its common for the piercing to kinda nestle and from a sort of crater in your lip. If its starting ot heal over, go to your piercer and they can give you a longer stud.
You shouldn't remove any piercing until after they are entirely healed. If the piercing is already infected, removing the jewelery could cause the piercing to heal over trapping the infection inside the skin which will require medical attention. But if you don't have a choice, or you've decided that you don't want the piercing anymore, (only if the piercing is NOT infected) you can take the piercing out to let it grow over, and as long as you continue aftercare until the piercing is entirely healed you shouldn't get an infection.
Its been over 2 weeks since you got it done, and the swelling isn't gone yet. its oozing clear stuff, and becoming very painful.
I just got one last week & I can tell you it's not that bad. It's like a split second of pain & then it's all over.
you have to be 15 and over to get a piercing .
When you can no longer feel the disc portion on the inside of your lip, in most cases if the disc is descending into your lip you should be able to see your piercer and he/she can usually get it out with a little effort. Then placing a larger disc labret stud in the piercing will resolve the creep over effect that sometimes happens. If the disc is fully covered and there is no sign of an entry point inside the mouth then surgical intervention is needed.
