Your Flash Drive may be like the error message said "write protected", meaning that you can read but you cannot write. At some workplaces, Administrators will place a read only policy to prevent company secrect etc... from being downloaded to removable devices. If this error occurs on a personal computer, logon as an Administrator, find the device in My Computer, then right click it, select properties, on the security tab you will see a list of names; users that have allow or deny permission set on your device.
Select Edit, If you see your username in the list click on it.
If your username is not on the list click the add button and add it.
You will see under the list of username a list of permissions, on the allow side click full control, then Apply / Ok.
You should now be able to read and write as you have full control over the device.
It depends on what kind of files are in the CD's folder. If it's a CD that was purchased with software in the folders, you probably cannot delete the folder as the files within it are write-protected against accidental deletion. If the CD is something you created and your account has full rights to the files within, you should be able to delete the folder. If it gives you an error that the folder cannot be deleted because it is not empty, delete the contents first, then the folder.
PR error means it has been protected by password. if you forgot your password then type POKE 1867,0 and press EXE....you are done your password is gone.......
my pen drive is not format some error message so in screen "write protected"
The fact that the memory stick is write protected will not prevent you "reading" the contents. Thus there is no problem in making the copy from the stick to the memory card.
It means that your disc has a bad error so it cannot read and write files. if your error is on the dvd-rw, you can erase it. if your error is on the dvd-r then you cannot erase it and you will have to bin the disc.
This works if ousb flash device works fine with with other computers. i have asolution fo this...u can format it by a utility then write protection error is not show...7 your pen drive working properly....copy this link to address bar "" http://www.box.net/shared/9hgp81ndgs "" manneo
Simply burn a CD of the files and then reimport them to your computer as an Mp3 or other supported file.
You can't. Hopefully you have a tab on the memory card. If you do, just move the tab to allow writing to the card.
Stored text, pictures, original document images, sound files, and video files can be protected through encryption methods, read/write protection, password management, and copyright protection
It:1. -r Removes recursively the file / directory obsolete. Without -r, you cannot remove a directory, only files.2. -f disables prompts for confirmation of the removal of write-protected files.
