The reason why your roots only pulled the light blonde and not the rest of the dark brown that the salon put in is because, in simple terms...colour does not lift colour. So therefore when the salon put on the brown colour you had 2 inches of regrowth (roots) and then when you put the blonde on it only lifted the 2 inch root area because it didn't have colour on it. hope this explains it so you won't make that mistake again. it is actually difficult to correct by yourself. If you want your hair to be blond again you will have to bleach or strip the dark parts of your hair and then pick a blonde colour you like and put it on top after you wsh off the bleach. You have to get it too the right level though or you will trun orange. It may take a few tries with the bleach. If you want to go dark again you just put the dark colour on your roots, let it process and then only for the last 5 minutes pull it through the rest of your hair.
