well have you ever heard the saying of counting sheep this is coming in to my answer because what you have to do in your mid think of a sheep and then keep counting the sheep's and that sheep will be soft and cuddly and that will make you fall asleep!
If you run alot, then, that will most likely make you tired. If you aren't tired when you should be asleep, then, that means that you should probably get a new sleeping schedule. If you wake up late or feel tired when waking up early like at seven a.m. , then, you shouldn't sleep until nighttime. You probably are the type of person to nap in daytime, so you should try being awake in the day and asleep at night. Just know that it's okay to sleep in until about nine a.m. on weekends.
My friends mother works with children with special needs and i asked her if her mum had told her any tips on how to get into a deep sleep. She suggested sleeping on your back, with NO pillows under your head & your hands laid either side of you - palms facing up. If this doesn't work, i personally would recommend that while closing your eyes, you look up, then think about nice things. If these tips still don't work, try changing your position, e.g. sleeping at the opposite end of your bed. Note: Make sure your lights are turned off, and it is as dark as possible. This keeps the sleep (once you are in it) peaceful and undisturbed. Tip: Some say a clock ticking helps them get to sleep, because it sounds like a heart beat, although others don't like it though - why don't you try it?If this still doesn't work, Visit your GP.
