First, try asking your friend who told how the other friend reacted. If he freaked out, try talking to him, tell him that it's fine if your just friends if he doesn't like you back. If he reacted happily, or didn't say anything at all but smiled, just act like nothing happened, hang out with him how you normally would, if he likes you back, he'll continue hanging out with you, or even ask you out.
