If you catch them in the act, call 911 or the emergency number of your local police department. If you don't catch them in the act, and there is no reasonable way the police could catch them by coming quickly, then call the non-emergency number of your local police department.
Turn yourself in and explain that you had no idea that it was stolen.
If someone stole your stuff, tell a parent from a home, a parent who works at school, or a teacher. Tell all of those people so they can know.

if you brought it to school and someone stole it there, try looking in the lost and found. Try remebering about when was the last time you saw your iPod then think what you did after. Somebody could have snuck in and stole it from your bag lying around or locker. If you hadn't seen it for more than a few hours, check your bag and see if it fell out. Retrace your steps. If you can't find it and certain you lost it at school, tell an understanding adult. They might be able to help/
