Yes, cat food can attract flies in warm weather. Wet cat food can be particularly bad if left out for an extended period of time, which is one of the main reasons to never leave wet food out any longer for half an hour, or possibly less in warmer weather. Dry food too can attract flies if left out too long. Dry food can quickly go stale in the air and flies could be attracted to the flavourings that coat each biscuit piece. It is always advisable to replace any old dry food every day with fresh at the very least.
