Your friend looks up to you probably in a 'mentor' capacity which is a wonderful thing to happen to any individual. You do not have to feel the same towards this person, but do treat them with the respect they have given you. They are learning from you and you should be learning from them. If an individual shuts-down their senses as to who is really a good friend and who is not an individual could miss many great lessons on learning about new things from a friend or, learning to be compassionate; communicative and just enjoy the person when you are together. You need not tell this person they are your best friend.
