Never heard of a "swelled" beak.
The beak sometimes grows too long in sick or older birds, and may need trimming by someone with experience (novices can cause much pain and bleeding, which could kill). Also burrowing mites will eventually render the beak misshapen, which could make it look swollen and often grotesque. This can be treated with ivermectin, a powerful drug that should be administered with great care according to directions, preferably by a vet.
u have to take ur parakeet to the vet
A male parakeet has a blue nose above its beak.
The kinda beak that a blue parkett dose not has :-)))
Yes
The average parakeet is about nine inches, from the tip of its tail to the tip of its beak.
means that it is a male
Parakeets do not have teeth, they have a beak and a tongue.
peck the attacker's head
If a parakeet's beak is blue, it's a boy. If it's red/pinkish, It's a girl!
It is not the beak that use to tell the gender. The cere above the beak at 6 months will normally turn dark on a males but not a females
The spot at the top of the beak called the cere is blue on the males.
It jumps on the food bowl and starts to peck it's beak into the food
