The Co-Op program run with the Canadian Forces allows you to complete your Basic Qualification (known as BMQ) and element qualification (which would qualify you to be a member of the Army, Navy, or Air Force). You would then have one final course to complete to become a fully qualified soldier. The Co-Op program is usually about 8 months in length, with 4 half-days a week and one weekend away per month.
