I remember having a problem with my car not starting, it was a hassle because there I was removing parts by myself, at first I thought it was the alternator, after testing it and passed I took my battery to be tested, it also passed, so the las thing to remove and test was the starter. I end up replacing the starter.....remember to buy a lifetime warranty starter with a core it's cheaper and help you to save money. Good Luck
could be the alternator or starter sounds like the alternator if the battery is gone flat get the alternator tested at auto parts or garage jump charging the battery might get you out of trouble for a bit

1 - The alternator is not generating enough current. Recommend that you have your alternator tested before it leaves you on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. 2 - The drive belt is slipping badly. Replace the drive/fan belt.
disconnect the ac compressor and reconnect it
Either the battery is dead or your battery terminals are not hooked up right or loose, or you have a bad alternator, that needs tested

The voltage regulator (which is inside the alternator) on 97 rodeo's are controlled via the PCM/ECM (Power Control Module/Engine Control Module). A remanufactured alternator for the 97 Rodeo as well as the 97 Passport (Honda), usually will fhow failure while tested in car. On the bench test, however, the alternator tests normal. Aside of the normal problems to be ruled out, ie; alternator belt tension, check for loose connections within and around the alternator, try an original factory alternator. Is this problem affecting your blower motor?
There is no problem...the problem was the alternator. You have fixed the problem.
