Was the malfunction 30 days after the purchase date? IF so, then Circuit city's policy cleary states that warrantys after that time period should go directly through the manufacture. So, sounds like to me that your beef should be with Element Electronic Company my friend. However if you had purchased the cheap extended warranty Circuit City would easily ecxchange your damaged set for new ones.
