If you have a young kitten, suppose 6-9 weeks old, you might want to put him or her in a tall box with all of their accessories (litter box, food, water, bed) and just ignore them if they meow at you. They should stop bothering you and go to sleep. If your kitten is under this age, it's probably telling you that it misses it's mother, so either put a warm water bottle or a ticking clock with it to help it get to sleep.

From 10 weeks and up, or whenever it might be big enough, it can probably sleep in your room.

There are a number of problems with accustoming a cat to your waking and sleeping schedule. One is that most cats are instinctively nocturnal (they would hunt at night). Another is that cats do not remain active throughout the day as humans do, but take "catnaps" whenever and wherever suits them. A third is that young kittens expend a lot of energy investigating their environment. They may sleep soundly for only a couple of hours and be ready for action again. After a few weeks, a kitten will usually adapt (at least partly) to the hours kept by its owners. You may find it necessary to physically exhaust the kitty with intense activity if you want a lengthy rest period to follow. As a cat grows older, it will generally not disturb you even when it finds itself awake at night.

Well, cats sleep 16 hours at least a day, so let it sleep with you or put your cat in a nice, quiet spot and give him/her a toy or something.

Where does a cat sleep not a pet cat?

No cat is a pet, it will sleep where it pleases the cat. It has no regard for the person who feeds it, only for a roll in the alley and for the litters that result.

How do you get your cat to sleep with you?

There's not much you can do to force the issue - if your cat doesn't want to sleep in your bed, he/she isn't going to. You can encourage your cat to feel comfortable in your bed by gently placing him/her there and petting him/her in your bed. Over time, your cat may decide to sleep there.
