Be sure that you are genuine in your approach to her. She has probably been deceived plenty by guys who initially wanted to "impress" her and probably isn't interested in anyone who isn't solid and genuine in his motives. Be her friend, let her know you're willing to listen and be a shoulder to cry on if necessary. Support her without looking after your own interests.
