Mine works fine
Check the fuse.
Oh, absolutely, friend! You can override the power seat in your Pontiac Montana by locating the manual seat adjustment lever usually located on the side of the seat. Just give it a gentle pull or push to move the seat forward, backward, up, or down. Remember, there's always a way to make things work out beautifully.
Test for power at the seat with a 12V tester. You may have a bad seat motor.Door locks are a separate circuit.

Car seat heating works by using electrical heating elements. They are positioned in the bottom and back of the seat and receive power directly from the vehicle.
If it is just one seat then I would start to make sure that the connector hasn't come apart some how. If it hasn't then the motor will probably have to be relaced. If all power seats don't work then check the fuse. You should be able to find it in the owners manual. Hope this helps.
Check the Power Seat Switch first to make sure it is working. Next use a test light to make sure the switch is getting power. It could be that the gears under the seat that move the seat are stripped. If the gears are stripped I would take the whole seat out of the Car and replace the Frame that the Seat bolts on to and the Gear Box is attached to the frame also. I did not have no luck trying to replace the Gear Box by itself. helminc.com makes Service Manuals for many Auto's and it is worth the investment if you are planning to keep your car and these Service Manuals are just like the ones at the Dealership's.

Probably not the fuse. If you hear a clicking noise but no movement then the power seat unit is shot. You have to buy a $450 new unit as it comes with the seat rails as well. check ebay. Fred
