Your notes and textbook should be organized in an outline form so that you can quiz yourself easily. Here are some ways to do this:

• Change headings into questions. If your notes or book have a heading that says "Ways to Export Goods" then ask "What are some ways to export goods?"
• Make flashcards. This works especially well with vocabulary and dates, but you can put anything onto a flashcard and write the answer on the back to quiz yourself.
• Make lists into questions. Any time you make a list, ask yourself to repeat back all the items in the list.
• Write it over again. Pretend that your notebook is a test - look at the notes just enough to give you an idea of the subject, then pretend you have to write everything you know about it onto a test page and rewrite from memory. This will also help you to remember while showing you any areas that you need more study.
