Kumahira safe locks are used in any number of banks accross the country. The number alone is not relevant to where the box may be, and also just having a key does not guarantee entry. You have to be one of the people listed on the bank's paperwork that coinsides with that given Safe deposit box number. This is to ensure that someone who happens to have a random key cannot gain entry to someone else's box.
You can either fill out a form and pay 5 dollars to get it replaced or you can just use one key and when you cancel service you won't get your 1 dollar deposit back on that key.
Yes, it is a locked box they keep in the safe, if you have one you can put anything you want to keep safe in it. You also have the key to it and can withdraw it upon request.

It would be hard, if not impossible, for them to open it without your key! They could issue a search warrant if they had probably cause to suspect that items contained in such a secured environment were illegal.
A serial key should be on the back of the manual that comes with the box, or on the back of the box, or the inside of the manual or inside the box somewhere. Just look around the box and u should eventually find it. Hope I helped
A safe deposit box is essentially a small safe secure inside a bank vault that contains many safe deposit boxes of varying sizes (usually ranging from 3"x5" to 10"x10" width by height). Valuables are stored in a closed plastic container inside the metal safe. In most cases, the safe deposit box requires two separate keys to enter - one which is possessed only by the person who rents the safe deposit box and one which is possessed by the bank as a "guard" key. This type of set up therefore requires that the renter visit the bank, request access to their safe deposit box, and be escorted to the box and assisted in opening it. They then remove their plastic container and are brought to a privacy booth to remove or add any valuables before replacing their plastic container in their safe. The bank maintains an entry card and contract for the box rental that aids in preventing unauthorized access (only renters may use their own key - you cannot send someone else to access your box if they are not a renter) and keeps record of the dates and times the box is accessed.
