Make sure you get there first. It doesn't have to be the end of your relationship with your friend; if they really are your best friend, I'd hope that they understand. You may find out that you don't like your crush that much after all, or she might reject you anyway. It's better that you find out whether you're right for each other now that that you stand back, and forever wonder whether you would have been right together.
If it does work out between you and your crush, make sure that you try your best to find your friend their own match. That way everyone wins.
