It depends what you mean by weird really.
I remember a boy when I was in school that permanently damaged his legs, some people were jealous of all the attention he received, some people wanted to have a cast and wheelchair which they thought was just too cool! Some people wanted to push him about seeing how vulnerable he'd become, some people started acting different around him because they were worried about him or thought that he had to be treated differently because of his injury.
young people have many ways of reacting to things so you'll need to specify what 'acting weird' is in this case.
