Really tiny crickets. (commonly called micro-crickets in the reptile trade

Or you could try feeding them SMALL meal worms but breaking them in to bits, it will work and the gecko will get its food just remember to sprinkle the protein on them !

Any chain pet store should offer a variety in sizes ranging from 1/4" - 1" crickets.

Every night, feed a gecko either six crickets or three mealworms no wider than the space between their eyes. Sprinkle the insects with calcium-mineral dust for added health value. I've heard you can occasionally feed them finely chopped carrots and romaine lettuce. My gecko has yet to try that.

You should be able to go to a local pet shop and get some crickets and lil grub worms, the gecko should eat them both. If you can get them, cockroaches are a good choice. Cockroaches are the geckos favorite food.

Leopard geckos eat worms and crickets. Some people prefer to breed live insects to feed their geckos, but others just give them already-dead mealworms.

Most geckos are insectivores. You should feed the small gecko, small insects. They cannot be bigger than the space between the geckos eyes.

Small crickets or meal worms from your local pet store. Do not collect your own; the gecko could get sick.

As much as it will eat in five minutes. Any food left after that should be removed. You certainly shouldn't leave crickets in the tank overnight - as they may bite the lizard.

Is there no sure way to safely catch a gecko?

well it depends on your definition of "safely." do you mean safe for the gecko, disease wise for you or the gecko, or are you concerned the gecko will bite you? if the gecko is wild, there is usually not a big chance for disease passing from the gecko to you, although you could pass a disease to the gecko, but it's unlikely...if your scared the gecko will bite you, well, it probably wont break the skin so there's really nothing to worry about there:)

Can you feed shrimp to a crested gecko?

Crested geckos are an omnivorous species, relying on a variety of live feeders and fruits, pollens and saps. A crested gecko would never come face to face with a shrimp in the wild, therefore you should not feed a crested gecko shrimp, live or dead. Feed them meal replacement powder (MRP) and live feeders such as: crickets, mealworms, horned worms, Dubai roaches etc.. Always be sure to gutload and coat live feedings.

What do you feed a wild moose?
