Well, I'm sure they would like advice. You might just want to send them something they really want or need with a heart-felt card and good advice. They would love to know that they're appreciated and loved and that they are in your prayers. Often times it is very hard for them to find someone who is willing to listen or find someone who might have a change of heart because of his/her troubles. So you might want to quote or say some thing like "200 lds missionaries every day find someone who needs their help after months of searching" or "50 missionaries come home every 8 months discouraged when if they stayed for only 3 more days they would have found a possible lds" or give them lots more encouragement.

I am quite sure this will help.

Thanks,

M_tiger.

Find something they don't have where he is. I'm sure he's written home lamenting his lack of peanut butter, deodorant, or root beer, so ask his mother what he's written about. Those listed before are standards. My parents sent me an 18" synthetic Christmas tree--something I could use and still leave in the closet for future missionaries. Also, newspapers from home. (I would always get big care packages, and go straight for the crumpled up newspapers used as packaging fodder.) Just remember to keep your gifts within his rules--he may not be allowed to use a video camera, for example. Feel free to call his Mission President with specific questions. Oh, and if you're referring to Senior Missionaries, they don't have rules really. My parents always asked for, and got, seasons of West Wing and other shows. --User:Mrcolj14:27, 2 Sep 2009 (UTC)

When were the LDS allowed in the LDS church?

I don't know why you asked that question. "LDS" means "Latter Day Saints" and refers to anyone who is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS church. That is pretty self explanatory. So the LDS were ALWAYS allowed in the LDS church because the LDS church is made up of only LDS people. Duh.

Are you allowed to go to a church with lds missionaries you already know?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Hopefully this is a satisfactory answer: If LDS Missionaries invite you to church, then of course you can go. Nobody is turned away from LDS worship services. Most missionaries are also able to attend services of different denominations when invited. If you live in the area where the missionaries are serving, you can attend the congregation they are serving in, regardless of whether or not you know the missionaries there. The Church strongly requests that family members and friends do not visit missionaries while they are serving unless they have made prior arrangements with the Mission President. If you are a relative or friend from home, you should not attend the congregation where your missionary is serving unless you have recieved permission from the Mission President, it is much to distracting to the missionaries to recieve surprise visits from home. In short, if you knew the missionary prior to them becoming a missionary, check with them or with the Mission President before visiting their congregation.

Can friends email LDS Missionaries?

Yes they can, so long as the message contains only those things which will be uplifting to the Missionary. Remember they are called to bring people to Christ, they cannot do this if the message received causes them to detract from their purpose.

Can a non-member of the LDS join an LDS dating website?

I'm not sure, it probably depends on the site since LDS-specific sites are usually full of LDS members looking to date other LDS members. LDSSingles.com, LDSPlanet.com, LDSMingle.com, and LDSSingleSite.com are a few LDS dating sites you can try.

What is the ration of men to women lds missionaries?

The exact ratio between men and women in the LDS missionary force is constantly changing, as missionaries leave and come home every week. However, generally, about 10% -20% of Mormon missionaries are women. The number of female LDS missionaries is expected to rise quite dramatically over the next several months as the minimum age requirement was lowered from 21 to 19, (as of October 2012) making a mission more accessible for many young women.
