There is no drive in a standard transmission car. In most cases you will have reverse, neutral, 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, and 5th gear.

A 1994 Mazda Miata's automatic transmission may slip in 4th gear if the bands are heavily worn. When the bands become worn, they are unable to grip properly and cause slippage.

Most likely the shifting fork is worn within the transmission. You did not say what car but most late models have no adjustment. This problem usually shows up in the highest gear. Sorry.
The front Band is for 2nd and 4th gear.
Check your transmission fluid levels first
It's a 3 speed transmission. Standard Trannys were 5 speed, but autos only have 3.
