The Alternator is mounted solidly to the engine. It does not adjust. You have to use a wrench to pry back the Serpentine Belt Tensioner ,, remove the belt ,, and then remove all of the bolts that hold the Alternator on.
Begin by removing the 2003 Chevy Cavalier alternator belt. Remove the wiring from the back of the alternator. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.

The voltage regulator is built into the Alternator!!
Remove serpentine belt. Remove alternator. The bolts that hold the tensioner on are under the alternator.
The 2001 Chevy Cavalier parking brake has an adjustment bolt on the parking brake assembly. Turn the adjustment bolt to loosen or tighten the parking brake.
