I asked them real questions for which they couldn't offer plausible answers; the holding company is registered in Belize, which is the most secretive tax haven; you'll never get to know whom to sue. Also, I showed them a list of the largest containers lessors; they claim to have 400,000 containers in operation; the list I have shows companies with far fewer containers under lease. Pacific Tycoon, or its parents don't appear anywhere. The company simply stopped answering my emails when I sent them the analysis. They say the are "private", but many companies are also private and are in research reports. Don't give them a penny.
Pacific Tycoon is a container investment and leasing firm, based in Hong Kong. Despite numerous efforts, I have been unable to turn up anything negative about this container investing and leasing company. Although there does seem to be a number of people looking into the investment opportunity, I have not seen one person (from anywhere in the world) complain about an experience; with Pacific Tycoon.I do see that the company is quite transparent though. Their website shows extensive investment and contact information, there are company pages on Twitter and Facebook, and also a number of Pacific Tycoon employees can be found on Linkedin.
Pacific Tycoon is an asset management company that specializes in shipping containers. I did not find anybody who actually said that they invested with Pacific Tycoon and lost their money. I contacted them a while back when looking into investing some of my money and they were extremely helpful. Definitely worth taking a closer look for anybody who is interested in an alternate investment. Shipping container investments are becoming more and more popular among investors, and Pacific Tycoon is considered to be one of the largest leasing companies in the Far East. Since most of the trade comes from China, their location has a critical impact on their success. So to answer your question, Pacific Tycoon is not a scam, it is a well know container leasing company based in Hong Kong.
