After the death of Jesus on the cross, Jesus told the disciples to look after her.
We know the names of her parents but not the names of Mary's grandparents.
We know that one of his brother's was named James who came to the crucifixion with his mother Mary.
Mainly for being the mother of His Holiness Jesus Christ.
It is possible that Mary Magdalene knew Judas as they were both followers of Jesus. However, there is no specific mention in the Bible of any direct interactions or relationships between Mary Magdalene and Judas.
I can't say that I know, but I think that the reason that the Virgin Mary is usually showed with the infant Jesus, is that the Catholics are trying to emphasize that Jesus was born from a virgin Answer: They're probably mostly with the infant Jesus because since all Christians honor her as being God's Mother, it's natural that pictures would be representing that which we associate with her: bearing the infant Jesus.
As far as I know Mark went to Egypt after the crucifixion.
We really don't know for certain, "When and where Saint Mary (assuming you're referring to the mother of Jesus) was born". According to the common tradition of Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and other Eastern Churches, she was born in Nazareth. As far as we know via the culture of the time, Mary would have conceived Jesus between the ages of 13-15.So: If Jesus was born in 4 BC (an accepted date), Mary would have been born approximately 20 BC (give or take)
Yes, she knew all that and still consented to be the Mother of Jesus.
Jesus's father was known to be God but god impregnated Mary to give birth to Jesus and Joseph was kind of like his 'stepdad' if you now what I mean as they weren't actually related but he cared for Jesus. So essentially, God Mary ( also known as mother mary and virgin mary) Joseph were his family as far as I know........ Hope that helps
The office of Pope was not formally established until decades after the crucifixion. However tradition has it that Peter became the first Pope, so yes he knew Jesus before the crucifixion, but he was not yet Pope then. He specifically and emphantically denied knowing Jesus during the crucifixion!
Jesus I know for sure was lifted into the sky but Mary's body was mysteriously never found. The church believes she was raised straight to heaven, no purgatory, because she was sinless. I don't know about Elijah
Scripture tells us little about Mary's life as an adult after finding Jesus in the temple when he was 12 years old. We do know that she frequently accompanied her son when he began his public ministry. She was present at the wedding feast of Cana with jesus and his disciples. She was present at the crucifixion and on Pentecost. Tradition says that she lived for a time with John the Apostle at Ephesus after Our Lord's Ascension and may have later returned to Jerusalem. When Mary fell asleep at the end of her life on earth we do not know if she did so in Jerusalem or Ephesus. Both places claim to have the tomb of Mary which, if ever occupied, would have been so only briefly.
