What do you learn about redemption from Noah?

Our time period is likened to Noah's day:

(Matthew 24:37-39)"... For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be..." Hebrews 11:7; 1Peter 3:20, 21.

Our survival is based on obedience to God.

(Genesis 6:7-9)"...This is the history of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the [true] God."

(Genesis 6:22) " And Noah proceeded to do according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so."(Genesis 7:5)

(Hebrews 11:7)"...By faith Noah, after being given divine warning of things not yet beheld, showed godly fear and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; and through this faith he condemned the world, and he became an heir of the righteousness that is according to faith." (Ezekiel 14:14, 20) And Noah was blessed for his obedience (Genesis 9:1)

Part of our responsibility, like Noah, is to preach about God's message:

(2 Peter 2:5&6) "...and he .... kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people..."

(Matthew 24:14)"...and this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all nations, and then the end will come". (Matthew 28:19&20)NWT

Additional thought:

The salvation of Noah and his family from physical death pictures what happens to those who trust in Christ, who saves believers from the spiritual consequences of sin: (1 Peter3:18-22) "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison[from the flood]; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure [type or picture] whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God [because of belief, witnessed by public baptism] ,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him."
