The Old Testament.
Ways I would express it is thru out the whole bible god is the eye of the world old testament or new testament. We learn as they did in the old testament the same purpose of unification a desire to find our way and final we are and always will be the all with god from the beginning to the end.
Abraham is first mentioned in the Old Testament.
You can tell them that the New Testament contains historical records about the life of Jesus and the establishment of the Christian Church. However you should also teach how the Old Testament is a record of man's history and God's dealing with mankind throughout history. In the Old Testament the nature and character of God is revealed and we learn about the relationship of God and man. You should also teach how the New Testament is a fulfillment of things foretold in the Old Testament and how the coming of Christ is another way in which God has spoken to all of mankind. The New Testament cannot be explained without reference to the Old Testament. Even themeaning of the words 'old' and 'new' 'testament' are important in explaining the New Testament
The book of Job can be found in the Old Testament.
Jesus was in the new testament and not the old testament.
In the Old Testament, God gave instructions to the jews to never use nails inside Jerusalem. This is why everything in Jerusalem is made of marble, rather than wood that requires nails. So, since a crucifixion required nails, they had to take Jesus outside of the city's gates to Golgotha. Fascinating! Right here, in three or four short lines . . . -- We learn that the forces of the Roman empire that occupied the holy land were sensitive to the instructions of the old testament, and adhered to them, apparently so as to avoid upsetting the locals. (Presumably right up until they defiled and destroyed the locals' Holy Temple of the old testament less than 50 years later.) -- We learn that it was the followers of the old testament, aka Jews, who crucified Jesus. -- We learn for the first time that crucifixion was a routine method of execution among adherents of the old testament. We didn't know this, because it isn't mentioned anywhere in the old testament, even where the methods of legal execution are explicitly listed. -- We learn for the first time that the old testament prohibits the use of mails anywhere inside Jerusalem. We didn't know this either, because we don't find it stated anywhere in the old testament.
The book of Psalms is found in the Old Testament.
There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament (a total of 66 books in the Bible). There are 23,145 verses (KJV) in the Old Testament and 7,957 verses (KJV) in the New Testament. If all verses were equal, that would put the Old Testament at 74.4% and the New Testament at 25.6% of the entire Bible.
