White blood cells are indicative of an infection.
The cell would shrink and crinkle (crenation) due to all the water leaving the cell through osmosis. Crenated cells look like the edges of serrated leaves.

every living thing has white blood cells they kill viruses
I don't know what you mean by this as cells don't usually require blood. A blood cell is blood so it doesn't need more blood. Skin cells and other cells are not composed of blood. Blood flows through the circulatory system and is composed of red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. They will die.
You Must mean White blood cells. White blood cells kill bacteria by first engulfing them, this process i believe is called phagocytocis. They literally eat the bacteria and digest it.
Possibly you mean the white blood cells. They are the cells in the blood that combat viruses.
