For this I am going to assume that you are using it for a DVD player or a video game system. You will need the dazzle itself, and the software disk that comes with the dazzle. You plug the Red Yellow and White AV cables into the Dazzle. If you want to watch what you are recording (watch the DVD on the TV as it is being recorded, or play the game as it is being recorded) you will need 3 AV splitter cables. The cables should be 2 male (output) and one female (input).
