In answer to your question, people interested in obtaining a career in the field of sports broadcasting must first achieve a B.A. in journalism, broadcasting, communications, or similar fields. In addition to this, they need to enroll themselves in classes that provide overviews of several varying aspects of sports such as sports psychology, exercise physiology, coaching principles, etc... Following this, internships at broadcasting stations would be necessary before finding a job in order to gain field experience. Although a B.A. is all that is required for this field, M.A's and Ph.D.'s are a great addition to a resume.
