On a 2004 Chevy Astro, the camshaft sensor is located in the front of the engine. It is on the left side of the timing cover behind the camshaft sensor.
I contacted the Chevy Dealer and he informed me that the Chevy astro van has a timing "chain", not a timing belt and requires no maintanence action for this item.
The 2004 Chevrolet Astro computer is located behind the passenger side dashboard. You will need to remove the glove compartment to access the computer.
Attached to the side of the throttle body.
At the rear of the engine next to the distributor.
You need to hook up an OBD scanner to it.
