An engine will backfire and sputter for many reasons but the fundamental reason is incomplete combustion or asynchronous firing timings of the ignition and the compression of the fuel in the piston combustion chamber. In the diesel engine, the fuel injection system and heaters are checked. In petrol engines the first point to check is the timer rotator gap and its condenser.Next check the spark plugs that may be short. The other check points are the inlet and exhaust valves of the engine head. There could also be some clogged particle in the fuel carburetor that is dislodged and explodes to give a sharp backfire.
need to check your evap system or you have a blown head
Your car backfires when you need a new transmission,or tune up. How do you know the difference? Simple...if your car backfires then wont start, or wont start and then backfires, you need a transmission. If it backfires, and then starts moments after, you need a tune-up. Glad to help...David
you need to check your rear wheel drive the axles may be loose or you may need some new gear oil
Need to get your valves adjusted
Yes, you need a certain license to drive a tow truck, different states have different requirements, you should check with your local DMV to check your states requirements.
At U-Haul, the smallest truck that will hold 40 cubic yards (1,080 cubic feet) is a 24-foot truck. You will also need to check the weight capacity.
You need to check your fuel pressure..Also check for worn plugs and rotor button
You can check Commercial Truck Financing which can be found here www.commercialtruckfinancing.com/. They can provide you with a financing program to help you get the truck you need to run your business.
your air cleaner could be dirty, u might need some fule injection cleaner, the timing , sparkplugs. these are all posibals to check.
You probably have a bad alternator. Need to check the charging system.
Sounds like a weak fuel pump. You need to first check the fuel filter that's up in the drivers side frame rail behind the cab. You will have to slide in under the truck and look up in the frame to see it. Replace if needed. Then check the fuel pump pressure with a gauge and be sure you have NO LESS then 9 LBS and NO HIGHER then 13 LBS. are you will have starting and running problems.
Could be in need of a complete tune up. Does the check engine light come on?
