Well you need to pack all your belongings away to start with. Then when all this is done fine a removals company to take everything for you to your new location.

Prune your belongings: Decide what items will suit your new home and trash or give away items that have been unworn or unused for a year or more. If you know where you are moving, figure out the dimensions of the rooms and the furniture you plan to take. If something will not fit, sell it or give it away before moving. Organize your paperwork: Put important papers into folders or a container so that they are easily found. This goes particularly for diplomas, social security cards, checks and so on that you will want to access without digging through boxes for the office. Shred old or outdated papers.

Divan Beds: Drawers in divan beds should be emptied.

Chests of Drawers: These can be left filled with soft and light items to help with storage.

Wardrobes: These can be left with soft and light items of clothing to help with storage solutions.

Lamp Shades: Should be packed in snug fitting boxes to prevent damage.

Fragile items: Should be wrapped and packed separately. Bubble wrap is great for this. You can also put fragile items in with towels or clothing to give the items a cushion

Utilities: Don't forget to notify Gas, Electricity and Water suppliers that you are moving and take final meter readings.

Marking your Boxes:

Clearly mark which boxes you want to be placed in which rooms on delivery. This saves you having to open them to see what's inside.

2. Furniture transfer - make sure your furniture will fit access doors to your new place.

3. Update your contact details - this goes to your billing and school records for your kids.

4. Organize a cleaner if you will not do it yourself.

5. Organize for a removalist if can't do it on your own.

6. Settle bills.

7. Check all rooms before leaving to make sure you did not forget anything.
