It depends on the kind of camping you want to do. If you are going camping with a lot of people in the same site you will need several small or one very large tent. You will also need a large cooler full of beer and another large cooler full of food. You are also going to need a sleeping bag and a pillow. You can get sleeping bags that fit the climate temperature for where you are camping so you are neither too hot or cold at night. You will also have to bring the appropriate clothing. Shorts are good for hiking and swimming and t-shirts are also great. If it gets cold at night in your location, you will need to bring clothes that will keep you plenty warm, such as a sweatshirt or a jacket. Try not to bring too many clothes and anything you wear you can just rinse off in a river and hang to dry. Make sure you bring a change of clothes so you aren't left naked. Bring something to do! Here are a few suggestions! 1.Fishing Pole w/ tackle box 2.Books 3.Something to play catch with 4.Playing Cards 5.Dominoes There is a few other necessities you will need to survive a trip in the woods. 1.One or two Lanterns 2.Firewood 3.Bug Spray 4.Flashlight 5.Camp stove or Grill for fire pit. (plus pots and pans!) 6. A Good Attitude! Camping can be hard! Make sure you show up at your camp spot when it's still light outside, because setting up a tent in the dark is near impossible; unless you know your tent really well.
Minimalist camping may appear repetitive considering the fact that lots of people camp to get from our intensely materialist lifestyles. Nevertheless, considering most of the hiking equipment that's marketed at people who like to camp, it is feasible to end up hauling an alternative for nearly anything in your house and to conclude by setting-up a little-fortress away from home. Whereis in hauling material and all of your duties along with you, the enjoyment? Because it is about gear, minimalist camping is much about mindset, and permitting the area to just progress to oneself will be all's aspect. Demonstrate the over- consumerist campers and packers just how camping should really be!
When going camping and using a camper/trailer, it is a good idea to have plenty of blankets, pillows, proper toilet paper (different from your normal toilet paper), bug spray, (afterbite citronella candles), sun screen, all different weather clothing (never know, be prepared, including rain boots), frying pan, sauce pan (pot), BBQ (some don't cook in the trailer), utensils including spatula, tongs, cutting knives, towels (face and tea towels) wash cloths, dish cloths, dish soap, games or books for rainy days, TV with gaming machine (ex: x-box, don't forget proper cord for hook up), you will need shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, brushes, (your personal hygene products), lawn chairs, firewood (can usually buy at site), your food, but don't forget condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard..butter, things like that), bottled water, tea kettle/coffee maker, garbage bags (different sizes), table clothe for picinic table plus hooks to hold it on, bicycles (if appropriate), coolers (ice boxes, great for extra drinks to be kept cool). This is off the top of my head, please feel free to add on.
