In order to mount a scope on a Winchester 94 you must use a special mount which is attached by screws to the left side of the receiver plate. The bad news is that most 94s do not come with the necessary tapped holes. You will have to take it to a Gunsmith who will drill and tap the receiver plate to accept the mount. The good news is that this one of the most common gunsmithing jobs and many are set up to do it fairly cheaply. Newer 94's (post 1966) have the extractor cambered to throw the ejected case to the right of any scope. Older 94's will eject straight up and intefere with the scope mount possibly knocking the hot case right into your shooting eye. If you have an old 94 it is best not to scope it all.

Sure it can. The 9410, at least the "Traditional" model I'm familiar with, has the same drilled and tapped receiver as other model '94 AEs. Leupold and Burris make bases that fit, and all you need do is select a scope and ring combination that allows the hammer to clear the rear objective of the scope. You'll also want to install the little hammer extension (use a bit of Loctite) to make it easier to manipulate the hammer while the scope is in place.
