Adding water to the affected area, whether skin or clothes, with water would dilute and wash the acid off.
A simple taste of a very, very small amount of acid (say you licked a finger that had a splash of acid on it by mistake) will not harm you in any way. However if you are splashed with acid you should wash with soap and lots of water to rinse it all off because if it left on your skin or clothes, it will burn you/them. Seek medical help as soon as possible
Alkalinity is a measure of how well a solution neutralizes an acid compared to a carbonate or bicarbonate. A used alkaline battery is most likely very weak, so it wont burn your skin, just wash it off. If a new alkaline battery explodes or leaks onto your skin and it burns you, you should neutralize it with a acid such as vinegar. Then rinse the affected area and cover it.
you will be more likely to die because the acid is corrosive (eats your skin)
The first concern is for the person, not the clothing.Take off the contaminated articles, rinse any acid off the skin immediately! If it got in your eyes, or if the skin is affected, get medical attention right away.Note that there are a few specialized acids, such as hydrofluoric acid, that can cause death within hours of exposure if you don't get medical attention. Know the hazards and properties of ANY chemicals you handle. Alwayswear the proper protective gear. The clothes are probably history, but you may be able to neutralize the acid by soaking them in a sink full of water with a few tablespoons of baking soda mixed in.
take off all clothes the acid harmed and go to the safety shower
Wash it off IMMEDIATELY. Water. LOTS of water. Keep flushing your skin with water for several minutes. If you got it on your clothes, get them off. Flush them with water AFTER you get the acid off your skin. Clothes can be replaced. Skin- sot so much.

i guess you should rinse it with rubbing alchole maybe...
I would rinse it off with soap and water. It should be fine though.
Never use vinegar in your corals because even if you rinse it off parts of vinegar will remain and it will burn the slime off your fish and peel away their skin then they die because vinegar is acid.

i have it to! do u know if you are suppose to leave it on or rinse it off? i have no idea
Battery acid is sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid is very corrosive and will burn your skin if not washed off very quickly.
