Let them know what they can expect from you and what you want to do in the future - eg, if it something you want to go public with or just something that you want to experiment with at home. Let them know you are prepared to answer any questions they may have such as about sexuality or gender confusion.
If they are the type of parents who would have problems with this behaviour it might be worthwhile to get someone you trust to be with you or speak on your behalf. This could be a school guidance councellor or a parent of a friend that you trust.
