The best thing to do is let it go, BUT, there is the slight chance that she does, but her friend says she isn't. So use your gut if you feel you should then do so. If not then don't

Accept it. Move on. If they didn't want to be friends anymore it's probably for the best. Get new friends and forget the old. It happened to me so I understand it hurts at first, but the best thing to do is replace them. (When they come crawling back don't let them in again, because it's a cycle...)

I would tell my friend not to say lie more about him. I would also not get angry and will be friendly to that friend who said lie about my best friend. Then only he will recover him.

You ask the boy's best friend to ask him who he likes, and to bring YOU up, and if he says yeah, then he likes you and his best friend should convince him to step up and claim his prize, and if he says no ... well, unfortunately, he's not interested , and you should move on with your life and stay strong. There are other guys out there ! Remember: the one thing you CAN NOT ask yourself is "what did i do wrong?". It was his loss and I'm sure he'll regret it later on in life.
