Lutenit in an army?

What's the abreviation for lutenit? Answer(Eilena Seri 877): Lt, Lieut, LEUT, and LT. Change(ES877): Do you mean "lieutenant"? If you do mean that, then it is a rank inside the army. It usually means second-in-command. i.e. if it was "lieutenant colonel" it would be "second-in-command to colonel." Hope this helps.

Who did cromwell fight?

If it's Oliver Cromwell then he fought king Charles I. Charles thought he could rule England by himself and believed in the Divine right of kings which means that he thought he was chosen by god to be king. after a few years of ruling without Parliament he was running out of money and asked Parliament to come back of coarse Parliament wasn't really happy. Charles was also a catholic he said he was a protestant but acted like a catholic and since England was a protestant country civil war was just waiting to happen. war was fought against the Cavaliers (Royalists) and the Round Heads (Parliament). Oliver Cromwell became in charge after a while and he was a puritan a super strict protestant and that was when Charles was really in trouble because before Oliver Cromwell was in charge if Parliament they would have probably banished him but of coarse Cromwell had him beheaded. Of coarse when he died England was so fed up with the rules of the puritans they wanted a king back so Charles II came to the throne in the restoration and he was known as the Merry Monarch. Hope this helped.

Was Custer a general or a colonel?

Custer was a colonel, although during the Civil War he attained the rank of a brevet general. Brevet means a temporary promotion to general. Although Custer kept his brevet rank for a time after the war, it was later taken away from him, and he was a colonel when he died. [If Custer had been a general at Little Big Horn he would have commanded more than one regiment.]

In the Oliver nocturne series who are Fagin and Bill Sykes and why is Oliver scared of them?

Fagin and Bill Sykes are not characters in Oliver Nocturne (by Bill Emerson), they are characters in the classic novel Oliver Twist (by Charles Dickens). In Oliver Twist, Fagin is a thief who provides food, shelter and organization to a group of boys - who he then trains as thieves. Oliver is not usually scared of Fagin because Fagin takes a liking to Oliver. Bill Sykes, on the other hand, is a past trainee/associate of Fagin who is a lot more ruthless. His girlfriend Nancy is also Fagin's main 'fence' (someone who takes what he has stolen and sells it). Bill is rough, and is the most scared when Oliver starts living with Mr Brownlow because he thinks Oliver will rat them out. So, he kidnaps Oliver and then uses him in a theft. Bill also uses violence as a means to control people, whereas Fagin usually only threatens violence, but relies more on his tongue to solve his problems.
