Ethics is essentially what is moral and what is immoral. Organizations are essentially run by people. So what the executives think is immoral translates into what th organization thinks is immoral. Personal ethics often translates into organizational ethics, which is often built into the corporate culture. For example, if the executives have very high standards, then the organization will also have very high ethical standards.
Because as soon as you think you have found a universally accepted ethical concept, a group or culture comes along that has the opposite view.

Cellphones purely have a negative effect on the social and ethical behaviour, due to the fact that cellphones, socially, breed a culture of introverted, isolated people who are unable to deal with real human interaction because they have been trained to communicate with others through their cellphone.
