If we are talking about electrolysis then,"NaCl solution is used as electrolytic solution.a battery is needed to connect copper wires and metal pieces are used as electrode, one wire is connected to one side of battery and is attached to one electrode while other at opposite side with another electrode.the electrode connected to the positive terminal of battery is called anode and electrode connected to the negative terminal is called cathode.when the electric current is passed in the electrolytic solution of NaCl,the NaCl breaks into Na positive ion and Cl negative ion.Na positive ions will deposit on cathode and Cl negative ions will deposit on anode.when Na is scarped,it is used in medicines for heart patient while Cl is used as chlorine water(antiseptics) such as detol".

Thus, chemical bond of NaCl is broken down.

What determines the amount of chemical energy a substance has?

The amount of chemical energy a substance has is determined by the types and arrangement of atoms and molecules in that substance. The energy is stored within the chemical bonds between these atoms and molecules. The strength of these bonds and the potential energy stored in them determine the amount of chemical energy.

Is there a chemical difference between the gauseos and liquid state of the same substance?

There is no chemical difference, the only difference is the speed in which the molecules of the substances move. Slower molecules can be solid or liquid and very high speed molecules can be gas.

What is the connection between molecules and compounds?

A compound is a substance formed by the chemical bonding of two or more elements in specific proportions. A molecule is the smallest portion of a compound.

Is the boiling point of a pure substance the same as an impure substance and why?

Adding impurities changes both boiling points and freezing points. The added material has its own chemical interactions with the solvent to which it is added. In order to boil, a substance must overcome the chemical attraction between its own constituent atoms or molecules. If there are also other atoms or molecules to which a constituent atom or molecule of a given substance is also attracted, the boiling point will therefore be higher. No it's not the same it dip pends on what the substance is.

How does things dissolve?

the atoms of the solute(substance getting dissolved) enter the inter-spaces between the atoms or molecules of the solvent .this is how things dissolve, small molecule take space in between the larger molecules and they intermix together. remember dissolving is a physical change not chemical.

Substance changes from solid to liquid?

This physical phenomenon (a change of phase) is called melting; during melting the chemical nature of molecules is not changed but the bonds between molecules are weakened.

What is the relationship between the chemical properties of a substance and the chemical change of substance?

The chemical properties of an object show what a chemical change did to that substance.

What is an attraction between molecules of the same substance and why?

Cohesion is the force of attraction between molecules of the same substance which binds the particles together.

What is the different between substance and mixtures?

1.) a pure substance has a definite chemical formula. 2.) a mixture has two or more kinds of matter and particles.

What are characteristics that describe the ability of a substance to form a new substance?

Chemical change or chemical reaction describes how a substance can form a new substance.

Is solubilty the same as a chemical Change?

Solubility is forming of chemical bonds between solute molecules and solvent molecules, hence a chemical reaction.

What is the difference between elements and nutrients?

Nutrients are chemical compounds; they contain molecules - and the molecules are formed from chemical elements.
