Driving at 50mph or above what causes a loud knocking clicking sound during acceleration?
Ran out of gas, failed fuel pump, water in the gas. Alternator, crank sensor, cam sensor, computer, coil, broken wiring. No oil in the engine and engine seized, overheated to the point of ruining engine.Ran out of gas, failed fuel pump, water in the gas. you could have a wire broke in the tire
No, not an alternator itself. A slipping belt driving the alternator and the water pump could though.
My 2007 overheated and the engine shut down automatically - while I was driving
Died while driving? Alternator
Driving Force - 2006 Blowing a Gasket 1-4 was released on: USA: 31 July 2006
check CV joints
When a cars headlights, AC, and radio are losing power, it is possible the alternator.
It's really hard to understand what you're asking here."What causes a knocking sound when your car drops into a hole while driving?"If that's your question, I imagine that it would be the sound of your car dropping into a hole.
Stop driving on or your transmission will be toast. It probably is toast by that time. The fluid in your overheated tranny is cooking.
Usually when the battery light comes on its the Alternator, or a bad wire from Alternator to battery, but id check Alternator first.
the cause of this is probably a bad u joint
Its hard to say... do u know where the noise is coming from?
air is not blowing out of my 2005 cheverolet avalanche ducts but only when I am driving.
Wires between Alternator and Battery, and between Alternator plug connector and fuse box etc.
sounds like your alternator..
The knocking noise could be one of several things. The wheel bearing, a worn steering or suspension part, or road debris could be causing the noise.
Well when you are driving the alternator is at a constant speed then when you slow down the alternator sort of skips a beat causing the lights to dim!
